On June 22, 2013, Liesl Darr & Stephen Schuh got married in Boerne, TX with the ceremony taking place at the beautiful St. Peter's Catholic Church followed by a reception at The Marquardt Ranch. With all of about 320 guests in attendance we pulled out all the stops for this lavish affair. A little bit vintage, eclectic and rustic chic, this wedding had it all! Complete with bus transportation to and from the hotel to the church to The Marquardt and back running the entire night.
The ceremony was delivered by long time family friend Monsignor Michael O'Gorman and was captured in photos and video by Mint Photography and Infinity Wedding Videos. Following the hour long mass, everyone gathered onto a bus or designated limo and headed out to the country where the real celebration would begin to take place.
The couple quickly snuck up to the bell tower at The Marquardt for some photos and made their grand entrance followed by their first dance. Then it was time to chow down and boy was the food impeccable. Catered by The RK Group, guests feasted on steak and shrimp, a sweet potato based side, delectable vegetables and a killer salad to start. And no expense was spared when it came to drinks at this reception. White Oak wine was shipped in from Chicago to fill the guests glasses along with three open bars, serviced by Haute Cocktails, with just about anything on tap to cleanse your pallet. Each table was gorgeously graced with floral arrangements by RTC Floristry and flickering candle light that illuminated all the tables. DPC media did an incredible display of string lights outside and a soft amber indoor light that complemented and pin-spotted all the right areas of the room to give light to the beautiful centerpieces.
The father/daughter dance was amazing and mother/son dance sentimental. Following the two traditions it was time for the band to get their groove on and boy did they! Matchmaker, out of Austin, was the band that played and they put on a heck of a show with some killer jams that lead everyone out to the dance floor! The cake cutting from Cynthia's Cakes & More was a fun sight as the couple dared each other with icing fights and the bouquet and garter tosses were competitive amongst those who participated. Then it was party time for the rest of the night. Though the weather during this summer wedding was perfect with a cool breeze gracing the outside lawn overlooking the Guadalupe River, folks left their sweat and moves out on the dance floor and they broke it down to the bands music.
As it usually does, the night flew by! Before we knew it, it was time to scoop the couple up and get them ready for their sparkler exit and off in a limo to their wedding night accommodations at Rock Harbor Hill Country Lodge just down the road. I can honestly say this was one of the most fun weddings I have had the honor to plan and watch come to life! There were virtually no hiccups throughout the day of the wedding and every aspect was executed flawlessly. The couple will attest that the day was simply perfect, and one of the best days of their lives. We absolutely LOVE our job and getting to see the romance overflow on the big day after months of planning the grand event. That's why we do what we do. Plan weddings and make the couples and their families dreams come true!
