Hey everyone! I’m back! It’s been some time since my last post but I’m back with some amazing new ideas that I can’t wait to share with everyone. I want to share this new series with you all where I will be guiding and giving tips on the wedding planning process. I am excited to share all of my ideas through this monthly wedding series and can’t wait for you all to read!
If you’re reading this, then you’ve probably just got engaged – congratulations! - or are in the process of planning your big day! Here's a few tips as you get started and don't forget to watch the video!
Work out your budget and determine the bottom line price for the entire wedding. Establish your top priorities and see if anyone (perhaps, parents?) will be contributing to the big day?
2. Preliminary Guest List
Compile a list of guests that you, your fiancé and both sides of the family would like at your big day. It’s important to have a base number so you can get an idea of the wedding size – TIP: The higher the amount of people, the higher the price will be. Don’t worry, this is just a guestimate! You can always cut the list down later as you plan.
3. When & Where?
Research on where you and your fiancé would like to have your wedding. It does not have to be a specific location just yet, but it’s good to throw some ideas around! Also, establish a general time that you would like the party to take place. Month? Season? Knowing all of this information beforehand will allow you an idea of how much time you have to plan.
Lay out your ideas of the style and color that you two would like for your wedding. Are you the DIY, rustic/vintage or chic and modern bride? There’s endless variations of style out there that you can choose to plan your wedding around!
5. Feeling Overwhelmed?
Look into hiring a wedding planner! Research the planners in your area and check out their work on social media. Every planner is unique in their personality, planning style, education and experience. Do your homework and visit with a few to see who you "click" with.
